It is a practice that teaches one-directionality (not getting lost in thought). Through meditation, you learn to be patient and loving towards yourself and others. You develop tranquility and wisdom.

If you need to strengthen your body/health and get rid of back or neck pain, any direction in yoga is suitable for you.
If you need to reduce the stress factor, yin yoga and pranayama are the right ones for you.

For beginners, you can choose the basics of yoga, which prepares you for independent yoga practice and regular group classes.
After finishing the basics, you can join any group.
